Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the orders of the 1st and 2nd respondents (i) dated 30.6.2008 in proceedings R.P.No.8 of 2006 E2 and (ii) dated 25.4.2006 in proceedings Na.Ka.No.3729/2005 A2, respectively, directing the 3rd respondent herein to enter the names of the 4th and 5th respondent herein in the Taluk and Village Revenue records in respect of 2.44 acres of land in S.F.No.370/1 of Veerapandi Village and quashing the same and consequently directing the respondents herein to enter the names of the petitioners herein in the Taluk and Village Revenue records in respect of their lands in S.F.No.370/1 of Veerapandi Village.

O R D E R

Heard Mr.K.Elango, learned counsel for the petitioners, Mr.D.Suriyanarayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3 and perused the materials available on record.

2. This writ petition has been filed challenging the order of the first respondent dated 30.06.2008, in and by which, confirming the order of the second respondent dated 25.4.2006, whereby, a direction was given to third respondent to enter the name of the respondents 4 and 5 in the revenue records in respect of the lands in S.No.370/1 of Veerapandi Village measuring an extent of 2.44 acres.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the dispute between the writ petitioners and the contesting respondents 4 and 5 have been amicably settled and the entire extent of property in dispute was sub divided into 15 plots and sold to the third parties. A memo dated 14.8.2019 to that effect has been filed.

4. In the light of the above facts and the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court is of the considered opinion that no further adjudication is required in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
