ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the employment of the petitioner who claims to have served for more than 240 days as a driver on permanent basis when the vacancies of the regular driver was unfilled for a number of years by the respondent.

2.In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it had been stated that the petitioner had worked as casual bus driver for more than 240 days of continuous service from 31.01.2024 till 01.01.2025. He had driven the respondent Government bus. It had been stated that, even though he had put in continuous service, his services had not been regularized. It is under those circumstances, that the petitioner had filed this present Writ Petition. 3.A direction is given to the respondents to examine the credentials of the petitioner, the appointment of the petitioner, examine whether the petitioner is entitled for regularization and pass orders with respect to the service of the petitioner. While passing orders, the respondent may also taken into consideration the earlier direction issued in W.P.(MD).No.9829

of 2024, O.Veeraiyya v. The Managing Director, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, Madurai Limited, Madurai, dated 23.04.2024. Necessary orders may be passed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition stand disposed of. No costs.
