O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.07.2011 for issuance of patta to the petitioner in respect of Plot No.324 in S.No.510/15A situated at Thirumalai Nagar, Morai Village, with the total extent of 2400 sq.ft.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that though the petitioner gave the representation to the respondent as early as on 25.07.2011, the respondent has not considered and passed any order sofar.

3. Mrs.A.Madhumathi, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondent submitted that since the representation given by the petitioner is pending for a long time, the respondent may be directed to consider the same and pass orders, in accordance of law.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the matter, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.07.2011 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
