PRAYER : Writ Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ formulating a scheme in respect of crop insurance taking all aspects stated above into consideration.

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to formulate a scheme in respect of crop insurance, taking all aspects into consideration.

2. The petitioner is an agriculturists, owned a fairly substantial extent of agricultural lands. The petitioner states that he availed an agricultural land from the first respondent / Punjab National Bank. Loan account was closed and it is renewed under different account.

3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner made a submission that the loan amount is being recovered contrary to the policy. However, the grievances in this regard is to be redressed by approaching the competent authority / Forum.

4. As far as the relief sought for in the present writ petition is concerned, the scheme for crop insurance is already in existence and it is for the petitioner to approach the competent authorities or Forum for the purpose of availing of such insurance schemes or otherwise and as far as the relief sought for is concerned, no further consideration is required.

5. With reference to the other grievances raised, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the competent authorities for the purpose of redress of the same. With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
