Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to dispose of the representation dated 20.10.2006 made by the petitioner for bifurcation of Perali Panchayat, Kunnam Taluk, Perambalur District within a time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court. O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.10.2006 in respect of bifurcation of Perali Panchayat, Kunnam Taluk, Perambalur District.

2. According to the petitioner, there is a discrimination in distribution of ward members between two villagers in Perali Village. Hence, he wants to bifurcate the Porali Panchayat. But, that representation was not considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. Considering the fact that the representation is made in the year of 2006, and now, 13 years had been lapsed, due to passage of time, the prayer sought by the petitioner cannot be considered at this stage. Hence, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. However, a liberty is granted to the petitioner to make a fresh representation to concerned authority, if he is still having any grievance. No costs.
