Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned order bearing G.O. (Pathandu) No.359, Municipal Administration and water supply (Napa.1) Department dated 12.08.2009, quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to pay to the petitioner herein the sum of Rs.2,06,053/- within a time frame. ORDER
On 19.08.2021, this Court has recorded the position that the petitioner has passed away on 29.10.2016. Learned counsel who had appeared on that date had sought some time to bring the legal heirs on record. However, learned counsel for R2 i.e. the Commissioner, Coonoor Municipality had stated that nothing survived in the matter as the legal heirs of the deceased writ petitioner have settled the arrears.

2. Today Mr.V.Sivaraman, learned representing counsel for the learned counsel for the petitioner on record reports that they are unable to contact the petitioner's family.
3. Faced with this situation and bearing in mind the narration as aforesaid, I do not see anything purposeful to be served in keeping this writ petition alive and thus close the same.
