Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.02.2018 seeking to allot burial ground and crematorium at the petitioner's panchayat namely Perukaranai, Chitamur Union, Kancheepuram District comprised in Survey No.17B.

ORDER

(Order of this Court was made by S.MANIKUMAR, J.) Based on the Resolution No.23, dated 26.01.2015, of the Perukaranai Panchayat, Cheyyur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, representation dated 23.02.2018, has been made by the public and the writ petitioner, to allot land for a burial ground. As the representation remained, unanswered, instant writ petition is filed, for a Mandamus.

2. On the prayer sought for, we directed the learned Additional Government Pleader, to get instructions.

3. Reverting, Mr.E.Manoharan, learned Additional Government Pleader, submitted that Grama Saba, Perukaranai Panchayat, has passed a Resolution No.23, dated 26.01.2015, to provide land in S.No.17B, to Perungaranai Colony, under the Thaai scheme. Today, land in S.No.17B, admeasuring to an extent of 0.52.0 ares, is being used as burial ground. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. He further submitted that consideration of the representation dated 23.02.2018, is under process and appropriate orders, would be passed.

5. Submission is placed on record. Respondents to act, as submitted.

6. With the above observation, writ petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, the connected writ miscellaneous petition, is closed.
