PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 5 to take immediate steps for allocation of funds for proper and effective maintenance of Commercial Tax Official Quarters of TNHB, 1st Seaward Road, Valmiki Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai and consequently direct the fifth respondent to provide all basic amenities to petitioners and direct the 6th and 7th respondents to provide water connection to the quarters.

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 5 to take immediate steps for allocation of funds for proper and effective maintenance of Commercial Tax Official Quarters of TNHB, 1st Seaward Road, Valmiki Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai and consequently direct the fifth respondent to provide all basic amenities to the petitioners' Quarters and direct the respondents 6 and 7 to provide water connection to the Quarters.
2.Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that it would suffice, if the petitioners are granted liberty to approach the respondent authorities with a fresh representation for appropriate relief, for which, the learned counsel appearing for the respective respondents have no serious objection. 3.Granting such liberty to the petitioners, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
