O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN, J.,) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the father of the detenue stating that his daughter, namely, Raji @ Suguna, aged about 20 years, has been missing from 22.10.2015. Therefore, he has prayed that this Court may be pleased to direct the respondents to produce the detenue before this Court and to set her at liberty.

It has been stated that the detenue had married one Vijay. Thereafter, the detenue had gone missing from her matrimonial home. The petitioner has stated that, in spite of the complaint given about the missing of the detenue, the 1st respondent police has not registered the complaint. It is suspected that the 2nd respondent had kidnapped the detenue. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Today, when the matter had been listed for hearing, a Status Report, dated 05.02.2016, had been filed on behalf of the 1st respondent.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing on behalf of the 1st respondent, had submitted that the earlier complaint lodged by the husband had been withdrawn. He had told that it has been learnt that the detenue had eloped with one Mani, who is the 2nd respondent herein. However, steps are being taken, by the 1st respondent, to trace the detenue. 5.

In view of the said submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and in view of the statements made in the Status Report filed before this Court, dated 05.02.2016, we find it appropriate to close the Habeas Corpus Petition, as no further orders are necessary. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
