ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 not to harass the petitioner and her family members based on the complaint dated 24.01.2020.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the second respondent is unnecessarily harassing the petitioner and her family members without any basis and therefore she requests to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner.

3. Per contra, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that already a case was registered on the file of the second respondent in Crime No.302 of 2018 under Section 4(1) A of the TamilNadu Prohibition Act. He further submitted that in that case, the petitioner was already arrested and subsequently released on bail and only for investigation purpose the petitioner was called and not subjected to any harassment.

4. Admittedly, the petitioner was arrested in Crime No.302 of 2018 and subsequently she was released on bail and in such a case, the respondent should not harass the petitioner unnecessarily unless he receives any fresh complaint in respect of any other case.

5. With the aforesaid directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
