This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation made by the petitioners on 01.12.2022 wherein the petitioners are seeking for selection grade and special grade pay on par with the other similarly placed persons.
2. The case of the petitioners is that they were appointed as salesmen on daily wage basis in the year 1997 and they were posted to various PDS shops. The further case of the petitioners is that they had continuously worked and were regularized in service on 10.04.2000.
3. The grievance of the petitioners is that the similarly placed 2/4
salesmen, who have completed 10 to 20 years of service were given selection grade pay and special grade pay with reference to the date of their original appointment. The petitioners also wanted them to be treated in the same manner by giving a representation on 01.12.2022. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.
