ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 25.06.2018 and 23.08.2018 and to grant him notional promotion with all consequential benefits.
2. It is seen from records that the petitioner was working as a Manager and a panel was prepared for the next promotion to the post of Administrative Officer during the year 2017-18. Crucial date was fixed on 01.09.2016 and the name of the petitioner was also included. There was a delay in processing with the promotion and, as a result of the same, the petitioner attained superannuation on 23.01.2018. The petitioner made representations to the first respondent to consider his eligibility for the promotion to the post of Administrative Officer and to grant him notional promotion with all attendant benefits. The representations were given on 25.06.2018 and 23.08.2018. Since the same did not evoke any response, the present Writ Petition has been filed before this Court.
3. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 25.06.2018 and 23.08.2018 and pass appropriate orders strictly in accordance with law within a period of eight(8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the first respondent along with a copy of the representations dated 25.06.2018 and 23.08.2018 and a copy of this order.
4. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
