O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed by the petitioner for committing wilful disobedience of the order passed by this court dated dated 17.10.2022 in Crl.O.P.No.25061 of 2022.

2. On 17.10.2022, this Court has issued a direction in Crl.O.P.No.25061 of 2022 to the 2nd respondent viz., the Station House Officer, Manali Police Station, Madhavaram District to issue notice to the parties and conduct enquiry on the complaint of the petitioner, as directed by the Hon'ble Apex Court in the case of Lalita Kumari Vs. Government of Uttar Pradesh and others (2014 (2) SCC(1)]. If any cognizable offence is made out, the respondent police is bound to register the FIR, otherwise they may close the complaint. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that in pursuance

of the order of this Court made in Crl.O.P.No. 25061 of 2022, the respondent police conducted enquiry on the complaint of the petitioner and closed the same as the dispute involved therein is civil in nature. To that effect, he has also produced before this court the closure report dated 13.03.2023.
