ORDER

This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is filed to extend the time to comply with the order passed by this Court dated 17.12.2024 in Crl.M.P.No.16596, 16598 of 2024 in Crl.RC.No.2068 of 2024 directing the petitioner/accused to deposit 20% of the cheque amount to the credit of C.C. No.7274 of 2016 on the file of the Metropolitan Magistrate, FTC-I, Egmore, Allikulam, while granting exemption from surrender and suspending the sentence.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that due to consecutive festival holidays, the petitioner could not arrange the amount. Now the petition has taken demand draft for the said amount and seeking extension of time to comply with the order of this Court.

3. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, time is extended by two weeks to comply with the order of this Court and file a report.

4. Further the petitioner is directed to handover the copy of the demand draft to the respondent in person and file a report.
