This Contempt Petition has been filed by the petitioner for the alleged disobedience of the order of this Court dated 31.07.2023 passed in W.P.No.21655 of 2023.

The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation has been considered and orders will be passed after approval from the Syndicate. In this regard, the University has also filed an affidavit dated 12.04.2024. In paragraph No.7, it is held as follows:- "7. I submit that as per the order of this Hon'ble court, the University initiated the steps to comply the order. Promotion proposal has been placed before the Finance Committee on 10.10.2023 for filing up vacant Non-Teaching Posts as per the procedure mentioned in the G.O./relevant statue of this University in which the following decision was resolved.

"Resolved to recommend that the promotions and direct recruitment of Non-Teaching staff members, that the service rules may be framed by the University and approved by the Finance and Syndicate meeting. The policy allocation of 2/4

vacancies for promotions and direct recruitment shall be laid down."
