Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 13.12.2018 and consequently directing the respondents to give job assistance as assured on the account of acquisition of land in S.No.537/16 in P.N.Patti Village, Pudhuchinnakavur, Mettur Taluk for the expansion of upper ash pond in Mettur Thermal Power Project, Mettur Dam, Salem District.

O R D E R

The petitioner has come up with this writ petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to give job assistance to the petitioner, as assured on account of acquisition of the petitioner's land in S.No.537/16 in P.N.Patti Village, Pudhuchinnakavur, Mettur Taluk for the expansion of upper ash pond in Mettur Thermal Power Project, Mettur Dam, Salem District.

2.Mr.Karthik, learned counsel, takes notice for the respondents.

3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the contentions raised by the petitioner in this writ petition, the respondents are directed to consider the representation dated 13.12.2018 made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
