Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Declaration, declaring that the selection proceedings of Direct Recruitment - 2009 to the post of Technical Assistant (Electrical) - Class III Service in the service of the Tamil Nadu electricity Board, pursuant to the interview held as per memorandum No.1418/G.57/G.571/2009 dated 18.06.2009 of the 2nd respondent as illegal and ultra vires of the constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents 1 and 2 to select and appoint the petitioner as Technical Assistant (Electrical).

ORDER

Today when the matter came up for hearing, learned counsel for the respondents would submit that, even though the petitioner challenges the selection proceedings of the year 2009, he has not impleaded all the selectees in the category of Scheduled Caste community so as to press for the grant of horizontal reservation for the post of Technical Assistant under the Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyar) community.

2. That apart, the petitioner participated in the subsequent selection and has been appointed as Technical Assistant by the respondents by order dated 27.02.2014.

3. In consideration of the submissions made by learned counsel for the respondents that the writ petitioner has been selected to the post for which he had prayed in the writ petition, this writ petition is dismissed. There will be no order as to costs.
