ORDER

This writ petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 09.11.2019 against the order passed by the second respondent by its proceeding vide Say.Mo.Aa.No.Service 5(3)/9982/2012 dated 28.07.2019.

2. In the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition the petitioner states that he was appointed as Village Administrative Officer. While the petitioner was in service as Village Administrative Officer there was an allegation that the petitioner accepted illegal gratification for issuance of First Marriage Certificate to one individual. It is admitted by the petitioner himself that proceedings were initiated as against him and he was given punishment of compulsorily retirement by https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

order of the second respondent dated 28.07.2019. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is that the petitioner, though preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 09.11.2019, the appeal is yet to be disposed of. Hence, the present writ petition is filed by the petitioner for issuing a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer that is sought in this writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's appeal, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal stated to have been filed by the petitioner on 09.11.2019 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
