O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) In this writ petition, the petitioner has sought orders directing the first and second respondents to remove the encroachments on public roads abutting the house situate at Door No.28/12, Narasimman Salai 2nd Street, T.Nagar, Chennai 600 017. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.The petitioner has made a representation dated 09.03.2017 to the Commissioner, Greater Chennai Corporation and to the Executive Engineer, Greater Chennai Corporation, stating that respondent No.3 has encroached the road causing inconvenience and hardship to the users of the road.

3.After hearing the learned counsel for parties, the writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent No.2 to consider and dispose of the said representation dated 09.03.2017 in accordance with law, after giving the petitioner and respondent no.3 an opportunity of hearing. In the event, after causing an inspection, it is found that the road has illegally been encroached, the encroachments shall be removed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of communication of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
