The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd and 3rd Respondents to register the petitioner's birth dated 11.11.1956 and issue birth certificate to the petitioner by disposing the proceedings in P.Pa.C.Pa.No. 166 of 2022 pending on the file of the 2nd respondent.
2. According to the petitioner, his date of birth has been wrongly mentioned in the Aadhar Card as '11.11.1956' instead of '11.11.1956'. In order to rectify the said error, the petitioner has approached the authority by filing a petition under Section 13(3) of Registration of Birth and Death Act, 1969 r/w Rule 9(3) of Tamil Nadu Birth and Death Certificate Regulation Rule 2000 and the same has been taken on file in Pa.C.Pa.No.166 of 2022 which is still pending consideration. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the proceedings in P.Pa.C.Pa.No. 166 of 2022 within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

4. On the above, this Court heard the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents

In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to dispose of the proceedings in P.Pa.C.Pa.No. 166 of 2022 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties.
6. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
