The question involved in the present writ petition is in connection with the payment of e-tax. The issue in connection with the Belated Payment of Surcharge (B.P.S.C.) on e-tax amount has already been decided by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and in implementation of the order of the Hon'ble Apex Court the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Board issued a memo dated 23.11.2016. Thus, the petitioner is also entitled to avail the benefits extended in the Board proceedings dated 23.11.2016 in respect of the payment of B.P.S.C. on e-tax amount.
2. In view of the above, the respondent is directed to extend the memo issued by the Electricity Board on 23.11.2016 and pass appropriate orders at the earliest possible time.
3. With the above, this writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous is closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
