Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 to punish the respondents for the wilful disobedience of the order dated 12.07.2023 passed in W.P.No.20453 of 2023.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.N.Manokaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no steps are taken for removal of encroachment, though notice was issued to the encroachers.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader submits that encroachers have filed an appeal under Section 10 of the Land Encroachment Act and the same is pending. It is submitted that upon the disposal of the appeal, further steps would be taken immediately.

4. In view of the said statement, the contempt petition is

disposed of.
