PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the respondent relating to Ref.No.133/Tech.I/TNSTC (VPM)/2010 dated 30.04.2010, quash the same and issue consequential directions to reinstate the petitioner in service and allow him to continue in service beyond 30.04.2010 with continuity of service and backwages. I heard Mr.J.Muthukumaran, the learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr.C.S.K.Sathish, the learned counsel for the Transport Corporation, Villupuram.

2. This writ petition is filed to quash the order dated 30.04.2010 whereby the Petitioner was relieved from service with effect from 30.04.2010 by rejecting the claim for alteration of his date of birth. While the writ petition was pending, the Petitioner died on 29.07.2016.

3. Given the nature of the legal claim, namely, a request for alteration of date of birth, in my view, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition at this juncture. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. None the less, the disposal of the writ petition shall not preclude the legal https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

heirs of the Petitioner from making claims for any monetary benefits to which they may be entitled as per applicable rules. No costs.
