Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the proceedings of the first respondent in No.12115/1276/T./T.246/2008 dated 26.11.2008, and order of the 2nd respondent in Memo No.218/Adm.1/A4/F.DP/2006 dated 29.04.2006, quash the same and direct the respondents to promote the petitioner with all attendant benefits arising therefrom. ORDER

The petitioner is stated to have passed away in 2010 itself. Notice was directed to be issued to the address of the petitioner, as set out in the cause-title, to afford an opportunity to the legal heirs to pursue the writ petition, if they were so inclined.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner, who appeared in the matter, has also been given sufficient opportunity to obtain instruction from the legal heirs. However, no instructions have been forthcoming and notice has also been served as aforesaid. The name of the petitioner is printed in the cause-list as deceased.

3. In the light of the aforesaid position and since there is no further traction in the matter, I see no reason to keep this writ petition pending. This writ petition is thus dismissed. No costs.
