Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents and thereby direct the respondents to remove the iron sheet and reinstall the Street Name Board and consequently directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.11.2019 in accordance with law.

ORDER

(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.S.Senthilvel, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.C.Manibharathi, learned counsel for respondents 1 to 5; and, Ms.S.Anitha, learned counsel for the sixth respondent.

2. The petitioner alleges wrongful action on the part of the sixth respondent in removing the Street Name Board.

3. A status report is filed by the fifth respondent.

4. It is submitted by learned counsel for respondents 1 to 5 that the fifth respondent has taken action by removing the iron sheet erected by the sixth respondent on 11.6.2021. The Street Name Board was also erected by the Corporation on 19.8.2021.

5. In view of that, the purpose of the writ petition now stands served. The writ petition, as such, is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
