PRAYER Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 22.11.2023 submitted by the petitioners and to issue patta in their favour in respect of the land comprised in Survey No. 45/1 and 49 measuring 0.02 cents each situated in Madhagiri, Hosur Taluk , Krishnagiri District and to conduct an enquiry and cancel the patta issued to ineligible beneficiaries For Petitioner(s):

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 22.11.2023.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioners had given a representation, requesting the official respondents to conduct an enquiry and cancel the patta issued to ineligible beneficiaries and also for issuance of patta in favour of the petitioners. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the respondent till date. Hence, this petition.

3. In reply, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that an enquiry will be conducted and the patta issued to the ineligible persons will be deleted and accordingly, the petitioners' representation for

issuance of patta in their favour, will be considered and disposed of, in accordance with law, by the 1st respondent within a period of 12 weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents and also perused the entire materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 22.11.2023 and after issuing notice to the private respondents, dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
