Heard Mr.Kamaraj for the petitioner and Mr.D.B.R.Prabhu for the respondents.

2. The petitioner seeks an allotment of a place in the Khader Nawaz Khan Road for placing a Kiosk.

3. Mr.D.B.R.Prabhu reports that Khader Nawaz Khan Road has been declared as a non-vending zone. Hence, there cannot be a direction in the nature of a mandamus contrary to a decision taken under the 2014 Statute.

4. It is open to the petitioner, if he is so desires, to make an appropriate application to the Vending Committee seeking allocation of a space in a vending zone. If the petitioner is otherwise entitled to it, the Vending Committee may consider the same.

5. With the above observation, this writ petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 25-02-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Maya
