The Secretary to Government of Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, Fort St.George, Chennai.
... Respondent Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to regularise the petitioner by granting him regular time scale of pay with all consequential and attendant benefits. For Petitioner : No Appearance For Respondent : Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari, AGP
O R D E R
This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to regularise the service of the petitioner.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that he was appointed as a temporary Sanitary Worker in 1999 and his service has not been regularised. He claims to have given a representation, dated 02.09.2003 to the respondent seeking regularisation. Since the said representation was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed to regularise his services. In my view, if the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner within a time limit, ends of justice would be met.
3. In the light of the above observations, the petitioner is directed to make fresh representation to the respondent ventilating his grievances within a period of 30 days from the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such a representation, the respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible, in any event, within a period of three months therefrom. The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
