ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to rectify the error and issue patta in the petitioner's name to the property bearing No.110, Plot No.5A, Block No.2, Old Survey No.81/1, New Survey No.107, MGR Salai, Nehru Nagar, Saligramam, Chennai - 600 093 to an extent of 1110 Sq.ft. by considering petitioner's online application dated 04.09.2021, 05.10.2021 and 11.01.2023.

2. The contention of the petitioner is that he applied for Patta thrice through online. However, the respondent has not taken any steps. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed.

3. The respondent has filed counter and seeks time for four weeks to dispose of the petitioner's applications.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and since this writ petition is filed seeking a simple writ of mandamus to consider his application, this Court, without expressing any 2/5

opinion with regard to the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's applications dated 04.09.2021, 05.10.2021 and 11.01.2023 and issue notice to the petitioner and to the adjacent land owners of the four boundaries of the subject property and also to the interested parties/rival claimants/objectors if any as the case may be and conduct enquiry in the manner known to law and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
