ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the second respondent to give police protection based on the petitioner's petition dated 10.12.2015.

It is seen that the petitioner has sent a representation dated 10.12.2015 to the Director General of Police by Registered Post with Acknowledgment Due with copies marked to various subordinate police officers, seeking police protection.

cad It is pertinent to point out that under Section 154, Cr.P.C., a complaint has to be given in person before the jurisdictional police for appropriate action and not to the Director General of Police straightaway, bypassing the authority concerned.

Under such circumstances, if there is any further threat to the life and property of the petitioner, liberty is given to the petitioner to go in person and lodge a fresh complaint before the jurisdictional police and seek protection.
