ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to reclassify

the land morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition as "patta land" based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.09.2024 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that pursuant to UDR survey, the petitioner's property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition has been erroneously classified as "Tharisu land". The petitioner seeks for reclassification of the same as "patta land". The petitioner had given a representation on 23.09.2024 to the second respondent, seeking for reclassification of the property as "patta land". Since the said representation has not been considered till date, this writ petition has been filed.

3. Mr. S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation dated 23.09.2024 as stated supra is directed to be considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 23.09.2024, seeking for reclassification of the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition as "patta land" instead of "Tharisu land" within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of.
