In continuation of the earlier final order passed by this Court in W.P.No.34933 of 2014, dated 28.09.2021, the present miscellaneous petition has been filed seeking for releasing a sum of Rs.3,61,057.50/-, which is in deposit before the Registrar (Administration), Madras High Court.

2. It is stated that, as against the final order of this Court dated 28.09.2021, a Writ Appeal in W.A.No.729 of 2022 was preferred by the Corporation of Chennai, which came to be rejected on 29.03.2022. As such, the earlier order, directing the respondent-Corporation to pay 50% of the entire back wages, has become final and there cannot be any impediment for the petitioner to withdraw the same.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondentCorporation, on written instructions, submitted that they have no objection if 50% of the back wages is released to the petitioner. 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

4. Recording the submission of the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-Corporation, there shall be a direction to the Registrar (Administration), Madras High Court to permit the petitioner to withdraw the sum of Rs.3,61,057.50/-, on receipt of a memo from the petitioner. The Registrar (Administration) shall endeavour to release the said sum, preferably on the same day on which the memo is filed by the petitioner.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Miscellaneous Petition stands closed.
