Respondent/Petitioner Prayer: This Civil Miscellaneous Appeal filed under Section 173 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, against the order and Decree of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Subordinate Judge, Thiruvarur made in M.C.O.P.No.56 of 2017 dated 09.03.2020. Decree : This Civil Miscellaneous Appeal coming up for hearing as to admission on this day and upon perusing the grounds of Appeal the award of the Lower Court and upon hearing the arguments of Ms.P.Rajathi for Mr.D.Raghu, Advocate for the Appellant this Court doth order and decree as follows: i) that the awawrd and decree of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Subordinate Judge, Thiruvarur made in M.C.O.P.No.56 of 2017 dated 09.03.2020 for a sum of Rs.

6,34,948/- as compensation to this Respondent along with interest and costs be and hereby are confirmed and the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is dismissed; ii) that the Appellant/Transport Corporation be and hereby is directed to deposit the award amount along with interest and costs, less the amount if any already deposited, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment to the credit of M.C.O.P.No.56 of 2017 on the file of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Subordinate Judge, Thiruvarur.

iii) that on such deposit, being made, the respondent be and hereby is permitted to withdraw the award amount along with interest and costs, after adjusting the amount, if any already withdrawn, by filing necessary applications before the Tribunal; and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
