O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The present habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to secure the detenue namely Sunaitha Beevi, D/o.Shahul Hameed, Muslim, aged about 25 years and produce her before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter Sunaitha Beevi, aged abut 25 years, went missing on 06.01.2021 and that the police have not taken effective steps to secure her.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by Najimunisha Begam, one of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

daughters of the petitioner, a case in J1-Saidapet Police Station Crime No.11 of 2021 for 'woman missing' has been registered on 07.01.2021 and during the course of investigation, it came to the light that Sunaitha Beevi has run away with her own elder sister's husband Arunraj.

4. In view of the above, this Court directs the Assistant Commissioner, Saidapet to monitor the investigation in J1-Saidapet Police Station Crime No.11 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue is secured, she may be produced before the IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet under intimation to the petitioner. The learned IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet shall pass appropriate orders with regard to the custody of the detenue in accordance with law.

6. With the above direction, this habeas corpus petition is closed.
