PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to pass orders on the representation dated 12.12.2024 seeking grant of the time scale of pay followed by regularization on and after completion of 10 years of continuous uninterrupted service and pass orders. 1/5

ORDER
By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
2. This petition is filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to pass orders on the representation dated 12.12.2024 seeking grant the time scale of pay followed by regularization on and after completion of 10 years of continuous uninterrupted service and pass orders.
3. The facts of the case is that the petitioner who is working as Watchman on daily wages has not been paid regular enhanced daily wages from the year 2019. It is pertinent to note that as per the Chennai District Collector's proceeding the daily wages which was at Rs.327/- per day during 2018-2019 and stood revised during 2019-2020 to that of Rs.342/- per day has not been extended till date. That apart the current 2/5
daily wages is Rs.553/- which is also not been paid to the petitioner and he has paid only the old rate of wages . Hence, the petitioner has given a representation to the second respondent in this regard on 12.12.2024 and the same has not been considered till date. Hence, this petition.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice if this Court issues a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders. 5.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the second respondent submitted that they will consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law.
6. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on records.
7. Considering the facts of the case, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the second and third respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. 3/5
8. With the above observations this writ petition stands disposed of. No order as to costs.
