ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner is A3. Apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence under Section 17 of Tamil Nadu Kerosene (Regulation of Trade) Order, 1973 r/w Section 7 (1)(a)(ii) of Essential Commodities Act, 1955 in Crime No.6 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on routine checkup they intercepted a tanker lorry and seized 600 liters of kerosene. On enquiry it was found that the petitioner is the owner of the vehicle. Hence, the respondent police registered a case against the petitioner.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner 600 liters of kerosene was transported in petitioner's vehicle. He further https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

submitted that the petitioner is a habitual offender and there are four previous cases pending against the petitioner. Hence, he prays for dismissal of this petition.

5. Considering the fact that the petitioner was involved in serious offences and the petitioner is a habitual offender, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
