Respondents in both WPs COMMON PRAYER: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records comprised in the proceedings in of the second respondent dated 09.12.2003 in Na.Ka.No.1683/2003 and the consequent gazette publication issued by the 1st respondent in the Coimbatore District Gazeette No.16, dated 27.02.2004 under Section 4
(1) of the Tamilnadu Acquisition of Land for Harijan Welfare Scheme Act, 1978 and quash the same as arbitrary and malafide and consequently forbear the respondents from in any way interfering with the possession and enjoyment of the lands belonging to the petitioner.

Further actions are taken to re-convey the land to the writ petitioners. Any further actions now proposed is to be taken without any further delay.
2. In view of the fact that the entire acquisition proceedings in respect of the land in question was dropped, no further adjudication needs to be entertained in respect of the grounds raised in these writ petitions. Accordingly, both the writ petitions stand closed. However, there is no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
