..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for appointment as Cook on regular basis at the Noon Meal Centre, Panchayat Union Elementary School, Thaniar Village, Javvadu Hills Panchayat Union, Thiruvannamalai District in view of her continuous service in the said post before making any fresh appointment to the post.

Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner.

2.The learned Special Government Pleader would submit that the petitioner had given a petition to the Revenue Department, Javvadu Hills, stating that she has been appointed permanently in the said school where she was working temporarily and she would like to withdraw this petition and the same has been produced before this Court by the Special Government Pleader. She had also made an endorsement to that effect in the petition dated 20.11.2020.
