This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.235 of 2021 pending on the file of the respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Erode Taluk Police Station, Erode District, within a time frame as stipulated by this Court. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today (08.03.2022), the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the Superintendent of Police, Erode District, has initiated the proceedings seeking to transfer the case in Crime No. 235 of 2021, pending on the file of the respondent to the file of the Inspector of Police, NIB CID, Namakkal District. He would submit that as soon as the investigation is taken up by NIB CID, the said officer will take steps to complete the enquiry and file final report.

3.In view of the above, the jurisdictional Inspector of Police NIB CID, is directed to complete the investigation within a period of one year from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
