ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the third respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 06.02.2017 and take steps to close the defunct rain water channel measuring about 300 Sq.Ft. constructed on the road margin of Chinnaswamy Street, B.T.Nagar, Kolappakkam, Chennai128, Kanchipuram District, so as to prevent misuse of the same https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

for letting drainage water into it and thereby save the ground water being polluted and effective prevention of all sorts of serious health hazards which may be posed.

2. When the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, it is submitted by the learned Additional Government Pleaders appearing for the respondents that the defunct rain water channel in question, had been properly closed, by laying a pipeline in such a way that it does not over-flow, thereby preventing misuse of the same by any of the residents, as apprehended by the petitioner in the prayer made in this Writ Petition. Recording the said submission of the learned Additional Government Pleaders, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
