O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to refund the amount of Rs.1,45,575/- recovered from the petitioner on the eve of his retirement on 31.05.2016 towards the audit paras in respect of the Central Polytechnic College, Tharamani, and Rs.45,550/- recovered towards the expenditure incurred in connection with AICTE Accreditation in Dr.Dharmambal Women Polytechnic College, Tharamani, during the year 2009 within a reasonable period fixed by this Court.

It is the case of the petitioner that on the date of his retirement, on account of audit objections, recovery has been made to the tune of Rs.1,45,575/- towards the audit paras in respect of the Central Polytechnic College, Tharamani and Rs.45,550/- towards expenditure incurred in connection with AICTE Accreditation in Dr.Dharmambal Women
Polytechnic College, Tharamani, from the petitioner during the year 2009. Since the authorities have not given reasonable time to defend the case properly on the date of his retirement, he has no other option except to settle the above amount subject to the condition that the said amount shall be refunded to the petitioner after settlement of the audit paras. Though the audit paras have been settled, these two amounts have not been reimbursed to the petitioner, inspite of repeated representations made to the respondents 1 to 3 on 26.05.2016, 08.05.2017, 26.12.2019 and 14.11.2025, even though the petitioner attained the age of superannuation on 31.05.2016. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if the first respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 14.11.2025 on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents have no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.
5. In view of the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
