Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to dispose of the statutory revision petition dated 28.01.2014 preferred as against the order dated 19.04.2013 in A.P.No.15 of 2010 of the second respondent herein within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court. ORDER
Heard Mr.K.Murugesan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.M.L.Mahendran, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.R.Kannan, learned counsel appearing for respondents 4 and 5.
2. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for a direction upon the first respondent to consider the revision
petition filed by him challenging the order passed by the Special Deputy Collector, (Revenue), Trichy at Coimbatore in A.P.No.15 of 2010 dated 19.04.2013.
3. It is stated that Statutory Revision has been preferred by the petitioner on 28.01.2014 before the first respondent. However, on a perusal of the typed set of papers filed along with this writ petition, it is seen that there is no acknowledgment to show that the revision petition has been received by the Revisional Authority. In any event, it is stated that the Revision Petition is pending.
4. In the light of the above, if there is any revision petition pending on the file of the first respondent and if the same is in order, then the first respondent is directed to consider the same, after issuing notice to the petitioner and respondents 4 and 5 and after hearing the parties, shall pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
