ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested on 26.03.2024 for the alleged offence under Sections 147, 148, 395, 307, 448, 302, 427, 120(B), read with Section 149 of IPC and Section 3 and 4 of Explosives Substances Act in connection with Crime No.01 of 2017 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court vide order dated 04.11.2025 in Crl.O.P.No.29991 of 2025, had dismissed the bail petition filed by the petitioner. He further submitted now the case as against the petitioner has been progressed to stage of framing charges in SC.No.11 of 2025 on the file of the District and Sessions Court, Karaikal. Since, there is a change in circumstances of the case, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

3. The learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) appearing for the respondent police submitted that though there is a change in circumstances, 22 previous cases are pending against the petitioner, including the case of murder. Hence, he vehemently opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. Though there is a change in circumstance, considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 09.02.2026 jai
