2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the owner of the land covered in survey no.39/8 situated in Thiruninravur village, Avadi Taluk having an extent of 7.5 cents. Since the said land was possessed by his ancestors, he has been continuously in possession and enjoyment. By succession, the property also fell into his share, it is pleaded.
Therefore, he has applied to the Electricity authorities to get service connection.
3. But this Court finds that no such document showing the electricity service connection obtained by the petitioner is enclosed along with the writ petition. Secondly, when the petitioner claims patta for the land covered in survey no.39/8 situated in Thiruninravur village, he should come to this Court at least with some documents showing that he has been in possession and enjoyment of the property. When this Court is unable to see any document, except one copy of the tax receipt for the period 2015-2016, finding the said document alone cannot be a sufficient proof, the prayer of the petitioner is refused and the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. s/d- Assistant Registrar True Copy Sub-Assistant Registrar ss To
