ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 21.12.2018 submitted through online for a retail outlet of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited within Uthiyur and Dharapuram, Tiruppur District under Group-I under Brochure dated 24.11.2018 and pass final orders, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he submitted an online application on 21.12.2018, pursuant to the advertisement given by the respondent oil Corporation for the allotment of a retail outlet of the respondent Corporation between Uthiyur and Dharapuram, Tiruppur District under Group -I.

3. The petitioner has also submitted a representation thereafter on 12.02.2019 to the respondents requesting them to consider her case under Group-I instead of Group II. Since, the said representation has not been considered, this writ petition has been filed.

4. Heard Mr.M.V.Venkataseshan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Vijayan, learned counsel for the respondents.

5. The relief sought for in this writ petition is an innocuous one. Admittedly, the petitioner has submitted an application on 21.12.2018 with the respondent Corporation seeking for allotment of a retail outlet in her favour within Uthiyur and Dharapuram, Tiruppur District under Group- I. She has also given representation thereafter on 12.02.2019 to consider her case under Group I instead of Group II. Admittedly, the said representation has not been considered till date by the respondents. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representations are considered on merits and in accordance with law.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation 12.02.2019 seeking for allotment of a retail outlet pursuant to her application dated 21.12.2018 and the reminder letter dated 18.02.2019 seeking for allotment of retail outlet of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited within Uthiyur and Dharapuram, Tiruppur District under Group I instead of Group II and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
