The writ petition relates to the non promotion of the Petitioner as a Senior Factory Assistant.

2. The learned counsel for the Petitioner submitted, on instructions, that the Petitioner died during the pendency of the writ petition. The learned Government Advocate has produced the death certificate in that connection.

3. Given the nature of relief prayed for in the present writ petition, the writ petition has been rendered infructuous on account of the death of the Petitioner. Therefore, W.P.No.12234 of 2010 is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. There will be no order as to costs.
