Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue community certificate to the petitioner's daughter Sinthuja at an earliest that she belongs to Kurumans (ST) Community based upon the community certificate already issued to the petitioner.

The petitioner submitted an application for issuing a Community Certificate in the name of her daughter based on her community status. It is the grievance of the petitioner that action was not taken by the Revenue Divisional Officer to dispose of the application. The petitioner is therefore before this Court.

2. We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. The respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the application dated 28 October 2016 submitted by the petitioner for Community Certificate to her daughter, as expeditiously as possible, and in any case, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
