When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner, who filed the said writ petition, is not in touch with him and as such, he reports no instructions in the matter.

2. In view of the aforesaid submission and since the challenge in the present writ petition is to the General Insurance (Rationalisation of pay scales and other conditions of service of officers) Amendment Scheme 2005, 2/4

which scheme having stood the test of time for two decades, this Court is of the view that the cause in the writ petition does not survive for consideration and thus, the writ petition has become infructuous.
