W.P.Nos.5650 & 12864 of 2006 S.M.SUBRAMANIAM.,J The Presiding Officer, Principal Labour Court, Coimbatore has written a letter dated 23.09.2019 seeking extension of time to implement the order of this Court dated 19.03.2019 passed in W.P.Nos.5650 and 12864 of 2006.

2.On account of certain incidents, the Labour Court is unable to dispose of the matter within the time limit as prescribed. This Court is of an opinion that the parties before the Labour Court also should cooperate for the earlier disposal of the cases and the Labour Court should also avoid grant of unnecessary adjournments to the parties. Whenever, an adjournment is sought for, adequate reasons must be recorded for grant of adjournment. Contrarily the cases cannot be adjourned in a routine manner.

3.However, the extension of time is granted for another four months to implement the order of this Court dated 19.03.2019 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this Order. http://www.judis.nic.in
