ORDER

When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.M.Elumalai, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, placing on record a Government Order in G.O. (Ms) No.36 Public Works (K2) Department dated 29.04.2019, would submit that the Principal Secretary to Government, Public Works Department has issued the said G.O. stating that the Government have accorded sanction for acquisition of an extent of 6254 sq.ft. of land utilised for formation of the Otteri Nullah Canal in S.No.25/6 in Block No.13, Ayanavaram Village and Taluk, Chennai District through private negotiation and in this regard, sanction has also been accorded for Rs.3,77,11,620/- towards payment of compensation to the land owners for acquisition of the above mentioned extent of land.

Learned Government Advocate would further submit that now the petitioner has also taken part in the private negotiation. As the money is ready for payment, the petitioner has to come and collect the same. Therefore, a direction be issued to the petitioner to approach the District Collector to receive the said money. 2.
